WITH V4SDG, WE ARE TURNING THE SUSTAINABILITY QUEST INTO AN OPPORTUNITY.
In 2015, the member states of the United Nations unanimously adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as an ambitious plan to fix what is wrong with our planet until the year 2030.
Achieving the goals is not negotiable. It is the only way to tackle the challenges of climate change, growing inequalities and the tech revolution together. If we don’t act, we fall behind, even risk extinction.
At the same time, sustainability is an opportunity for innovation and social revival.
WE MUST UNLOCK ITS POTENTIAL THROUGH CREATIVE ACTION.
V4SDG is pursuing three goals BY 2020 to facilitate that:
CREATE THE SUSTAINABILITY PLATFORM OF THE V4
We scan our countries making contact with NGOs, academics, companies and government actors working for sustainability to set up a searchable network that makes it easy to cooperate on the SDGs in the Visegrad Group.
BUILD THE V4 LAB OF YOUNG SDG-PROFESSIONALS
V4SDG aims to grow its community to 100 young professionals and researchers working on all 17 SDGs by mid-2020, to create a think tank of fresh minds that can supply the brainpower for sustainability projects across the V4 and beyond.
SECURE A V4 SUSTAINABILITY PACT FROM OUR GOVERNMENTS
Governments could do the most for sustainability: with V4SDG, we are lobbying them everywhere in the V4 to enter into high-level cooperation for the SDGs, committing to ambitious common targets and projects that can unleash our collective potential to innovate and achieve sustainability.
